Conrad founded Mallory Capital Group (MCG) in December 1995 after two years as a partner at funds placement firm C.P. Eaton & Associates (now Eaton Partners). Besides having overall management responsibility for MCG, Conrad is active in origination, project management and distribution. Over his placement career he has managed the placement of in excess of $10 billion of private equity and debt securities for a variety of private equity, private real estate and hedge fund partnerships over a wide range of investment strategies.
For the 15 years prior to entering the private funds placement business, Conrad held a series of senior positions at Comdisco, Inc., the world’s then largest independent lessor of technology equipment. As a partner in Comdisco Financial Services, Mr. Weymann advised on the structuring, pricing and marketing of Comdisco’s syndicated lease transactions. As a member, with Comdisco Founder and CEO Kenneth N. Pontikes, of the two-person Corporate Office of the President, Conrad was Senior Managing Director of the Transaction Finance Division with responsibility for all debt and equity placements for the company’s lease underwritings. He was also Senior Managing Director of Comdisco Capital, the Comdisco division that provided lease financing services for the company’s hard-asset lease transactions.
Conrad graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame with a BS in Civil Engineering and a BA in General Studies. He studied at The George Washington University Graduate School of Business where he completed all but 6 hours of his course requirements towards an MBA, with a concentration in finance, before relocating to Connecticut. Conrad holds Series 6, 24 and 63 licenses with FINRA. He and his wife Mallory have four children and five grandchildren, and are active in local civic, religious, educational and social organizations as residents of Darien.
At Mallory Capital Group, Scott is focused on origination and distribution. He has over 15 years of experience in global capital markets on both the buy-side and sell-side. Prior to joining Mallory, he held the position of Head of Equities at Saiers Capital, a global multi-strategy derivative hedge fund, where he oversaw investments in all equity derivative products across North America, Europe and Asia. He managed a team of investment professionals across two offices located in New York and San Francisco. Before moving to the buy side, he worked at UBS as a Managing Director in charge of the convertible bond trading desk from 2007-2012. His responsibilities were split between overseeing all of the risk that the desk took in convertible securities and helping to structure, price and trade all new convertible bond issues underwritten by UBS in the Americas. Prior to running the convertible desk, he spent time on the UBS equity proprietary trading desk investing in several different products across equities and fixed income.
Scott graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Virginia earning a BA in economics.
Mike is a Managing Director at MCG and focuses on origination and distribution at MCG. He has over 17 years of experience in alternative investments as a fiduciary , advisor and intermediary. Over the course of his career, Mike has arranged for subscriptions of over $1 billion in capital for funds and direct transactions. Prior to joining MCG, Mike was Partner and Co-Head of North American Sales at First Avenue, a global fund placement agent. As a senior distribution professional there, Mike maintained relationships with institutional investors across North America; covering asset classes ranging from Private Equity, Real Assets and Private Credit. Prior to First Avenue, Mike had a diverse career in fundraising and investor relations. He served as Head of Investor Relations for Blum Capital IV, a $1.2 billion private equity fund. He began his career as a Portfolio Manager at the State Board of Administration of Florida where he led due diligence on over $1 billion of commitments to private equity funds and served on numerous advisory boards.
Mike graduated with BS in Finance from Florida State University. He also spent 6 years in the US Navy's Nuclear Power Program as an Engineering Laboratory Technician. He holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
John is a Senior Advisor to MCG. He has over 25 years experience in alternative investments as a fiduciary, advisor and intermediary. He started the fund of funds business at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, which is now part of Grosvenor Capital Management. He was a partner at the private equity firm, Capital Z Investment Partners, a $2.25 billion asset manager focused exclusively on providing cornerstone capital to new alternative investment franchises. He was a senior member of Citigroup's Private Funds Group and was North American co-head of Private Equity/Private Markets at Deutsche Bank Asset and Wealth Management. John recently sold his interest in Snowbridge Advisors, an advisory firm he founded in 2013. He started his career at Bain & Company, and joined the investment banking division at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette immediately after business school.
John graduated with a BA (with honors) from Harvard College and received his MBA at the Harvard Business School. He is a citizen of both the United States and the United Kingdom. John holds Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses* with FINRA.
John has been the CFO and Financial Operations Principal for MCG for the past six years. He has more than 30 years experience operating as CFO for various broker/dealers. John was for many years President of John C. McCarty & Company, a member of the New York Stock Exchange, and engaged in stock exchange floor brokerage for buy-side and sell-side institutional firms. He has also managed a consultancy practice for buy-side and sell-side firms. John holds Series 7, 8, 24, 27, 63, 65 and 79 licenses with FINRA.
